Since 2012, Shawnee County Fire District #4 has experienced a clear upward trend in calls for service, reflecting both community growth and the expanding scope of emergency services provided by the district. Annual call volume has increased from 191 calls in 2012 to 234 calls in 2025, representing an overall increase of approximately 22.5% during that time period. While year-to-year fluctuations occur, the long-term trend demonstrates a consistent demand for emergency response services. These calls include a wide range of incidents such as medical emergencies, structure and grass fires, motor vehicle accidents, and search and rescue operations. The district remains committed to maintaining readiness through ongoing training, equipment preparedness, and coordination with partner agencies to ensure effective service to the community.
